Free international freight tenders for shippers and forwarders
Importers and exporters can create an FCL or LCL ocean freight tender on PortLoop and share one invitation link with freight forwarders in Brazil and worldwide. Tender creation, bidding and basic results are free. One-time lowest-price lookups and detailed PDF reports are optional paid services.
How to create an ocean freight tender
- Enter origin and destination ports, required sailing date, container type and quantity or LCL cargo details, weight, volume and requirements.
- Set opening and closing dates and verify your email. You can edit the tender through your private management link until its scheduled start.
- Send the public invitation to your forwarders. Each bidder provides company and contact details, a price and shipping conditions, then verifies their email.
- Follow the verified quote count. After closing, use your private management link to review the free basic results.

How freight quotes are ranked
Each forwarder quotes one fixed all-in total in USD, including freight and origin and destination charges. The forwarder converts any local charges before submitting. The lowest USD total ranks first; ties are resolved by shorter transit-time, then the earlier offer. Prices for different shipments or routes are not directly comparable without checking quantities, terms and validity.
Competitor names and prices are masked on the public page before closing. An optional paid lookup shows the lowest total at the moment it is redeemed, without identifying the bidder. It does not guarantee a win: another forwarder may submit a better quote later.
Freight forwarders: find opportunities and submit quotes for free
Forwarders from Brazil, China and other countries can open an invitation, review the shipment requirements and bid while the tender is active. Provide your company, contact person, phone with country code, email, all-in USD total, sailing date, transit-time, carrier and destination agent.
After email verification, bidders enter PortLoop’s potential supplier registration workflow, pending approval for future freight requests. Registration does not guarantee business or replace verification of operational capability. Learn about freight agent registration.
International freight tender questions
Do shippers or forwarders need to pay to participate?
No. Creating a tender, submitting a quote and accessing basic results are free. Optional lowest-price lookups and detailed PDFs are paid. Pix and credit card payments are confirmed automatically through Mercado Pago; Wise transfers require manual verification.
Can I bid after the deadline?
No. The system blocks new quotes and changes at closing. If a tender is scheduled, check its opening date on the invitation page.
Does the lowest quote automatically book the freight?
No. The parties must verify identity, capacity, documents and terms and agree a freight contract. The winner receives the shipper’s contacts. The accepted 2% discount condition requires documented manual review; there is no automatic debit.
